Alongside announces a new Executive Director

Dear Friends of Alongside,

The Trustees of Alongside Ministries International are honored to introduce our new Executive Director, David Pierson. As the leadership mantle lifts from Margie Gilchrist’s shoulders and falls on his, we are keenly aware of Alfred Lord Tennyson’s words in Idylls of the King:

The old order changeth, yielding place to new, and God fulfills himself in many ways.

After a year-long search at home and abroad, we are thrilled with the diverse ministry experience, the excellent skill set, and the deep walk with Christ Jesus which David brings to this position. Margie, having faithfully served the ministry for 21 years, will facilitate the transition by coaching David through his first three months.

Alongside is now in a pivotal position to propel forward the Lord’s missionary enterprise at the start of the second decade in this twenty-first century. What is it like to be a missionary in Europe today? Challenging! Yet, Alongsiders stand in the gap with Christ in Albania, Estonia, France, and Germany. Seven churches in Scotland recently asked, “Who will come and help us?”

Imagine eager, new recruits responding to God’s call and the requests of European churches. Feel the strong pulse of Alongside. Listen to its consistent heartbeat. Invest financially. Lift up your hands in prayer for David, Margie, the Board, and Alongsiders.
