Kosovo is a small land-locked country northeast of Albania in the Balkan Peninsula.  It was part of communist Yugoslavia.  Its citizens suffered greatly in the Kosovo War of the late 1990s.  When Yugoslavia disintegrated, Kosovo was part of Serbia until its independence in 2008.  About 90% of Kosovo population are ethnic Albanians.  There remains ethnic tension between the Albanian and Serbian segments of the population.  Religiously, almost 90% of Kosovars are Muslim and only 7% are Christian.

The Bytyqi family is very excited to be ministering alongside in Kosovo. The Bytyqis are ministering to their local community.  Hasan actively serves through prayer meetings, discipleship programs, worship services, children’s programs and outreaches into the neighboring villages.

Jacquelyn helps out in several of the areas mentioned above, as well as homeschooling and nurturing the family’s four young girls, all under the age of six. One of her favorite verses is Isaiah 42:11 which says “He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.” Jacquelyn has a passion for children and families and works to reach out to other mothers in the community and share with them this special care that the Lord has for them.
