Alongside Ministries International works to advance the Gospel through prayer, partnerships, and practical help.  In our work alongside the Church of Scotland, we have discovered there are a variety of ways in which called and qualified Christian workers might be of great practical help serving alongside a local congregation in Scotland.

The Church of Scotland specifically is in need of qualified, ordained Presbyterian pastors. Scotland offers ministry opportunities in a large variety of settings, such as small villages, inner cities, and hospital chaplaincies. Many of these churches are striving to bring the Light of Christ to their communities and are looking for a minister to lead the way.

To get an idea of some of the churches within the Church of Scotland which are searching for a minister, take a look at the Church of Scotland website.

The Church of Scotland has established a thorough process for admitting ministerial candidates. You may wish to ask the Ministries Council staff for an application, or contact Alongside Ministries International for additional information.  The Church of Scotland is a Presbyterian Church, and will therefore give preference to those coming from a Presbyterian background.

You can email the appropriate department of the Church of Scotland directly here.
